First Blush was created with a simple belief: beauty should never feel exclusive, confusing, or reserved for people who already “know what they’re doing.” Makeup isn’t a talent you’re born with, it’s a skill you learn, refine, and make your own.
At First Blush, education comes first. Regan teaches not only how to apply makeup, but why each technique works, so you can understand your features, your products, and your personal style. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s confidence.

Meet Regan Lain
“I believe beauty is a language anyone can learn. It can be playful. It can be empowering. It can be rebellion, celebration, or quiet self-care.”
I’ve spent the last decade inside the beauty industry, at makeup counters, in classrooms, treatment rooms, working hands-on with clients to help them achieve their goals.
I started working for MAC Cosmetics in 2015, where I balanced my school work with expanding my skills as an artist. I learned two truths there: makeup is a language worth studying, and people learn best in a judgment-free, safe environment.
After college, I stepped into luxury bridal retail, zipped gowns, soothed nerves, and fell in love with helping clients navigate the aisles of lace and luxury to find their dream dress. Eventually, I tried the corporate route, the desk, the meetings, the fluorescent lighting, and quickly realized that office life wasn’t where I was meant to bloom.
So I pivoted back toward beauty, finishing my MBA and heading straight into esthetics school. I’ve been a licensed esthetician at Urban Betty since 2023 and proudly serve as an ambassador for Sorella Apothecary.
Why I Created First Blush
First Blush was born from the following philosophies:
Makeup is a skill to be learned, not a talent that is natural.
Makeup is for everyone! Any age, any gender, any human.
When we look good, we feel good, we do good.
When you live authentically, you create space for others to do the same.
I created this space because I am passionate about teaching people to feel confident in their creativity. When you know why something works, you don’t need permission or marketing tricks, you become your own expert. You don’t need more products. You need clarity, skill, and someone who believes you can learn.
